Who we are and what we do.
The Vectis Remnant was started way back in 2003 , Originally as the Isle of Wight Star Wars Costuming club, by a couple of like minded islanders with a passion for both the Star Wars universe and costuming. The groups aim , to raise money for local charities whilst also promoting the Star Wars universe and adding a little colour to local events.
Since its humble beginings and tally of just 2 members with a costume each it has grown to having over a dozen members and well over 2 dozen screen accurate costumes between them, not counting everyones favourite pair of droids!

Update: On the 21 st of November 2010 the Vectis Remnant officially became the Vectis Remnant Squad of the United Kingdom Garrison , part of the world wide 501st Legion. Whilst its mission remains the same , the VRS is now in a position to help raise money for charity not just on a local or even national level but on a global level .
As of the begining of 2012 The Vectis Remnant Squad has attended over 100 events both on the Isle of Wight and on mainland Britain.
More importantly it has helped raise several thousand pounds for local schools and charities and helped towards a global total of over $3million raised by the 501st world wide.
